Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

This policy explains how MANAR uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit the site. Our goal is to make clear what's used, why, and how you can easily control your choices.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files, and similar storage technologies such as Local Storage, saved on your device when you visit a website. These technologies are used to remember certain information, such as your preferences or your privacy choices.

2. Why does MANAR use these technologies?

We use them at the minimum level needed to run the site properly, and to remember your privacy and language choices — specifically after an explicit action on your part, such as clicking a language button.

3. Necessary cookies

Basic files and technologies required to run the site, save your privacy choices, protect forms, and provide the features you asked to use. These cannot be disabled from the settings panel, because the site would not work properly without them.

4. Preference cookies

These help us remember your choices, such as language and display settings, to give you a more suitable experience. Currently the site uses a single local-storage technology for this purpose (language preference), saved when you explicitly click one of the language buttons (عربي / עברית / English).

5. Analytics and performance cookies

These help us understand how the site is used and improve its performance and visitors' experience, through statistical information that is not activated before your consent. The site currently does not use any analytics tool — this category exists as infrastructure ready for any analytics tool that may be added in the future, and no such tool will be activated without first updating this policy and requesting your consent.

6. Marketing cookies

Used to measure campaigns and show more relevant content or ads across our platforms and our partners', and not activated before your consent. The site currently does not use any marketing or advertising tool — this category is also ready as infrastructure for possible future use only.

7. Actual third parties used on the site

The following table reflects an actual audit of every technology loaded on the site, as of the last-updated date of this policy:

ItemPartyCategoryPurposeRequires consent?
manarConsentMANAR (first party)NecessarySaves your privacy choicesNo (necessary for the privacy panel itself to work)

Google FontsGoogle (third party)Necessary for design displayLoads the site's fonts (IBM Plex Sans Arabic, IBM Plex Sans Hebrew, Cormorant Garamond, Jost)Does not set cookies, but is loaded from Google's servers
Note to the owner: Google Fonts are currently loaded directly from Google's servers before consent, because they are necessary to display the site's basic design. The more legally conservative option is to self-host the fonts on the site's own servers instead of Google's — this decision is left to the owner and requires legal review.

The site currently does not use any analytics, marketing, advertising, or tracking-pixel tool, or any external embed (video, maps, social media). The WhatsApp, direct-call, and map links on the site are plain external links only and do not load any tracking code.

8. How is your consent recorded?

When you choose from the consent window, your decision (the enabled categories, the date, and the source of the decision) is saved in local storage on your device only. This decision is not sent to any external server.

9. How can you change your choices?

You can click the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the site (footer) at any time to reopen the settings panel and change your choices or withdraw your consent entirely.

10. Control through your browser

You can also control or delete cookies and local storage directly through your browser settings. Note that deleting necessary local storage may prevent the site from remembering your privacy or language choices.

11. Consequences of blocking necessary files

Fully blocking necessary storage from your browser settings may prevent the site from saving your choices in the privacy panel, meaning the consent window will appear again on every visit.

12. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when a new technology or tool is added. In the event of a material change, you will be asked to renew your consent through a new window.

13. Privacy contact

Note to the owner: please add an official contact channel here (a privacy-dedicated email address, or a registered phone number) before the site's final publication. No contact detail has been invented.

This policy is a transparent technical tool and is not a substitute for a full legal review. We recommend a professional legal review before final reliance on this page.
